Skin Health: Care, Boosters & Peels

Targeted, science-based treatments to improve skin tone, brightness, hydration, and pigmentation.

At my clinic in Oxford, I offer a wide range of doctor-led skin treatments designed to improve skin texture, tone, and radiance using both in-clinic procedures and medical-grade skincare. These include Obagi prescription skincare protocols, The Perfect Peel, alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) chemical peels, Skin Aid enzymatic peels, and advanced photobiodynamic therapy. Whether you’re looking to manage hyperpigmentation, melasma, breakouts, or rosacea-prone skin, or simply want to boost your glow, these tailored treatments support long-term skin renewal without the need for injectables. I combine active ingredients, light-based therapy, and personalised homecare plans to deliver safe, gradual improvements based on your skin’s needs. Treatments can be combined or layered for optimal results, depending on your skin type and goals.

Restore balance, radiance and clarity with Obagi®'s prescription skincare systems.

I use selected Obagi® protocols to treat melasma, hyperpigmentation, and early signs of ageing. The active ingredients are personalised to your skin type and tolerance, ensuring visible results while respecting sensitivity.

  • How it works: active ingredients such as retinoids, hydroquinone and vitamin C stimulate cell turnover, fade pigmentation, and improve skin clarity over time.

  • Downtime: none — some dryness or mild redness may occur in the first few days.

  • Not suitable for: pregnancy, breastfeeding, or known allergy to retinoids or hydroquinone.

Obagi® Medical-Grade Skincare

A one-step, powerful peel to improve pigmentation, acne scars and texture.

The Perfect Peel® contains glutathione, trichloroacetic acid (TCA), salicylic acid, kojic acid and retinoic acid — blended to tackle stubborn skin concerns in a single, controlled session.

  • How it works: the formula breaks down damaged outer layers of the skin while triggering regeneration and collagen production deeper down.

  • Downtime: peeling typically begins on day 3 and lasts up to day 7. The skin may feel tight, dry or slightly red during this time.

  • Not suitable for: active cold sores, recent facial wounds, pregnancy, or allergy to any of the acids used.

The Perfect Peel® Medium-Depth Peel with Visible Results

Gentle exfoliation to restore glow and refine skin texture.

These light to medium peels use blends of alpha-hydroxy acids such as glycolic, lactic or mandelic acid, tailored to your skin’s tolerance and needs. They are ideal as a maintenance treatment or as part of a pigmentation or brightening plan.

  • How it works: by dissolving the bonds between dead skin cells, these acids promote faster cell turnover and help unclog pores, smooth texture and brighten the complexion.

  • Downtime: minimal — possible redness or light flaking for 1–2 days.

  • Not suitable for: hypersensitive skin, recent laser treatments, or known allergy to AHAs.

Alpha-Hydroxy Acid (AHA) Peels

A multi-step light-activated treatment to calm, renew and brighten the skin.

This gentle but effective therapy begins with the intake of a light-sensitising capsule, followed by the application of a tailored serum that reacts to LED light. A 15-minute LED mask session completes the treatment, using a specific wavelength depending on your skin concern.

How it works: the combination of capsule and serum prepares the skin to absorb light energy more effectively. Once activated, the LED stimulates cellular activity, calms inflammation, and enhances skin renewal — all without damaging the surface.

The four available wavelengths target different concerns:

– Red light for fine lines and wrinkles

– Blue light for acne and congestion

– Yellow light for inflammation and dermatitis

– Green light for pigmentation and uneven tone

  • Recommended protocol: four weekly sessions for optimal results.

  • Downtime: none — skin may appear slightly more luminous or flushed immediately after, but this fades within hours.

  • Not suitable for: individuals with light-sensitive conditions, epilepsy triggered by flashing lights, or those taking photosensitising medications.

My Approach

I believe that healthy, radiant skin starts with understanding what it needs — and giving it just the right amount of support. Whether we’re treating pigmentation, fine lines, or dullness, I always aim for progressive results that feel natural and respectful of your skin’s rhythm. I combine clinical-grade treatments with gentle, non-invasive options to ensure visible improvement without downtime or discomfort.

For many patients, skin boosters and peels are a first step — or a valid alternative — to newer regenerative treatments like exosomes. Each method has its place, and I’ll help you navigate what suits your skin best.

I always tell my patients: when the skin is well maintained, it’s beautiful — and it often needs fewer injectables. For me, skin care is not a secondary concern, it’s the foundation of long-term aesthetic results.

A high-performance collagen drink to improve skin hydration, elasticity and glow from within.

Skinade® is a liquid supplement formulated to stimulate your body’s natural collagen production and optimise skin health through targeted nutrients. It complements both injectable and non-injectable skin treatments and is often used before or after procedures to enhance results and support recovery.

  • How it works: Skinade® delivers hydrolysed marine collagen peptides, vitamins and amino acids directly into the bloodstream. This supports fibroblast activity, boosts collagen synthesis, improves hydration, and reduces free radical damage. Patients often notice brighter, firmer, more hydrated skin within 30 days.

  • Course: One drink daily for 30 days or more, depending on the skin goal. For procedures, a 10-day course is often recommended — 5 days before and 5 days after treatment.

  • Not suitable for: individuals with fish allergies (marine collagen source) or during pregnancy (depending on formulation).

Available Skinade® types include:

– Skinade® Original – for general skin ageing, dehydration, and dullness

– Skinade® Clear – targets blemishes and acne-prone skin

– Skinade® Cellulite – supports connective tissue and circulation in areas prone to cellulite

– Skinade® Derma Defense – boosts vitamin A & D levels for skin barrier support

– Skinade® MD Pre- and Post-Care Surgical Program – used before and after aesthetic or surgical procedures to improve healing and minimise downtime

Why Choose My Clinic

I am a fully qualified medical doctor, registered with the General Medical Council and regulated by the Care Quality Commission. Every treatment I offer — whether it’s a skin peel, booster or advanced skincare programme — is carried out in full compliance with UK medical standards and safety protocols.

I only use high-quality products with CE marking or FDA approval, sourced from trusted pharmacies and official distributors. I do not use generics, grey-market supplies or unreliable brands — your safety and results come before anything else.

I am constantly updating my knowledge through international medical conferences and advanced training, selecting only those treatments that are truly supported by evidence and results. I believe in transparency and education — and I make sure every patient understands what we are doing, why it works, and how it will benefit their skin in the long term.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know which peel or treatment is right for me?

We will discuss your skin goals during a personalised consultation. Based on your skin condition and sensitivity, I’ll guide you through the best options — from Obagi to peels and light therapy.

Will I need time off work after a treatment?

Most treatments have little to no downtime. The Perfect Peel may cause visible peeling for 4–5 days, but milder peels and LED therapies usually allow you to resume normal activities immediately.

Can I combine these treatments with injectables or other procedures?

Yes — many patients combine skin boosters or peels with anti-wrinkle injections or fillers. I’ll design a safe and effective plan for you.

Do I need to follow a specific skincare routine at home?

If you want to maintain your results, yes — I can recommend tailored Obagi or medical skincare to support your skin in between treatments.

Is this better than exosomes? What’s the difference?

It’s not a question of better — it’s about what your skin needs. Exosomes are regenerative: they stimulate your skin to rebuild collagen and restore function from within, acting on a cellular level. Peels and medical skincare, instead, work on the surface layers: they exfoliate, brighten, and improve texture in a visible, reliable way.

For patients who are not ready for injectables or high-tech solutions, peels and non-invasive therapies are often the first step — and they can deliver excellent results when well-chosen. I often combine both approaches for a full-spectrum result.

Can I do exosomes and peeling at the same time?

In most cases, yes — but with care and timing. I usually recommend spacing them out by a few days to allow the skin to respond properly to each treatment. For example, a light peel may be done before an exosome session to enhance penetration, while deeper peels are better scheduled separately. Your protocol will always be customised for maximum safety and results.

Can I do exosomes and peeling at the same time?

These treatments all improve skin quality, but they work in different ways. Obagi is a prescription skincare system used at home, often to treat pigmentation, melasma, or acne using medical-strength ingredients like retinoids and hydroquinone. Chemical peels, such as The Perfect Peel or AHA-based peels, are in-clinic treatments that exfoliate the skin, helping with texture, brightness, and congestion. Skin boosters, on the other hand, are injectable treatments (like polynucleotides or hyaluronic acid microinjections) that hydrate and improve elasticity from within, rather than exfoliating the surface. Depending on your skin type and concerns, I may recommend combining them for best results.
